Prenatal Classes in Atlanta, GA

To sign up for classes please call our OB Office at (404) 352-3616. Payment is required one (1) week prior to your scheduled class. Please be prepared to pay for parking.

The Prepared Childbirth Class

The Prepared Childbirth class is 3 hours in length (6:00pm – 9:00pm) and concludes with a tour of the Maternity Center at Piedmont Hospital Atlanta (if Piedmont’s current visitor policy permits).

The class covers the following topics:

  • Stages and phases of labor
  • Pain management
  • Basic breathing and relaxation
  • Medications and epidurals
  • Possible complications and how to handle them
  • Cesarean section
  • Postpartum Care

2024 Class Dates**: April 17th, May 7th, June 18th

Instructors: DeAnne Smith, RNC-OB, CCE, Heather Noble, RNC-OB, CCE

Fee: $175/couple

Baby Basics Class

In our Baby Basics class, you will learn essential tasks for properly caring for your baby. This is a fun, interactive class that will teach you techniques for sleeping, diapering, cleaning, soothing…and much more! This class is recommended for new parents (and grandparents) and those who feel they would benefit from a “refresher” in newborn care. Classes are held monthly. Please see upcoming dates below.

2024 Class Dates**: April 15th, May 13th, June 17th, July 8th

Fee: $100/couple

Breastfeeding Class

This class prepares mothers for breastfeeding by providing the education and support necessary for having a positive and fulfilling experience. Classes are held monthly. Please see the upcoming dates below.

2024 Class Dates**: May 6th, June 3rd, July 1st

Fee: $80/person
